CostLab is built for compounding pharmacy teams that need a clear, consistent view of production costs. It connects the work of pharmacy owners, operations leaders, and the teams maintaining formulas, producing batches, and reviewing costs.
Active ingredients, excipients, packaging, lab consumables, labor and allocated testing costs. CostLab scales components and labor to the planned batch, allocates testing by frequency, and shows the resulting breakdown.
CostLab divides the total recorded batch cost by the actual number of finished units. If a $1,200 batch produces 80 vials, the actual cost is $15 per vial. Recording fewer finished units does not reduce the costs already incurred to produce the batch.
The batch’s cost breakdown and production context are preserved in a snapshot. This includes the component prices and quantities, actual yield, dispensing details, sterility and assigned beyond-use date. Later changes to library prices do not rewrite that completed record.
Yes. Batch reports can be filtered by client, date range and status, with CSV exports for further analysis. Component and API usage reports show consumption over time and let you trace the contributing batches.
